For all readers that understand Swedish, you are all very welcome on a free seminar about how to do the A(rchitecture) in SOA. The seminar will be in Stockholm on the 24th of April.
If you ask me to nail down what the primary goals of service-oriented architecture (SOA) is all about, I would pick two things:
- Business agility
- Business IT/Alignment
This is buzzwords, I know, but if you agree with me on this, then I’m sure you would enjoy this seminar. We will show you how to get started with your Enterprise Architecture (EA) in about three months and how this initial architecture will contain a good service map (or Enterprise Inventory as defined by Erl). In 1,5 hour of intensive seminar we will try to connect all the dots to show you how you can achieve this two goal, not just words, but hands down and with real world examples. This will not cover technology, but rather how business processes and information is the foundation on which the services should be defined and how the business should control this architecture even if they don’t call it SOA. Sounds interesting?
Read more about it here (in Swedish).
This is a shameless advertisement, which I have never done on my blog before, but I hope that this will be interesting for you, so that it is worth to know about it.
