PDC08: PowerShell: Creating Manageable Web Services

First session today was this PowerShell session with title as above. This was more like a lap around PowerShell commands and environment, and to be fare that it also stated in the abstact of the session, but I choose session based on the title only. I would have hoped for more information about how to think when creating a stack of command lets for your web service (/application).

The session contained some interesting information for PowerShell v2, among many things the possibility to create different command sets for different users through the scripting features. This can be useful for having a user and administrator levels, a scenario that I belive is most interesting when talking about the cloud.

There was an announcment without any suprises: PowerShell v2 will be shipped with Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7 and in Windows Server Core.
